Care Home Compliance FAQ
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) set out a series of documents regarding guidance for care providers (including Care Homes) that cover two groups of regulations:
1) Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014
2)Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 (Part 4)
In order to be compliant the Care Home (its management, staff and volunteers) must work to set regulations specific to their service type. There are many different types of service that are covered by the regulations - with some providers' activities covering more than one service type. These services range from prison healthcare services to long-term conditions services and are as diverse as dental services through to residential social care.
For Care Home Compliance the regulations used are specific to "Care Home services with nursing (CHN)" and "Care Home services without nursing (CHS)".
A care home is a place where personal care and accommodation are provided together. People may live in the service for short or long periods. For many people, it is their sole place of residence and so it becomes their home, although they do not legally own or rent it. Both the care that people receive and the premises are regulated.
Examples of services that fit under the category of CHS are - Residential home, Rest home, Convalescent home, Respite care, Mental health crisis house and therapeutic communities.

Assessment
After you have completed your assessment (including multiple choice questionnaire), your digital certificate is sent to the email address used to login as soon as the course is completed.If you have not received your certificate, please first check your spam box. If it isn't there, please call and we will get this resent.
Do courses expire?
There is no expiry date on course credits. Once a credit has been bought it can be allocated at any time. However, should the credit have been allocated to the delegate, each learner then has 12 months to complete the course.In other words, unallocated course credits have no expiry date. If for example you ordered 1000 licences, and allocated 600 courses in year 1, you would have 400 licences left to allocate in year 2.
