Stress Awareness FAQ
Stress and pressure although used interchangeably mean two different things. Pressure is something that can help bring out the best in people and is generally something that people can manage providing mechanisms and processes are in place to support them. Stress, on the other hand, occurs when someone feels that they are no longer in control
The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) cite the following among the main causes of workplace stress:
1) unrealistic work demands
2) lack of control over aspects of work
3) poor working relationships
4) unclear roles
5) lack of managerial support
6) ineffective communication over change
All of the above are examples of poor management and can be rectified with a sensible approach to planning and good communication.
Stress can take a number of forms but it generally displays itself in the following ways:
1) emotional symptoms (such as an increase in negativity, loss of confidence or motivation, and becoming withdrawn)
2) mental symptoms (such as confusion, indecision, inability to concentrate or poor member)
3) changes to normal behaviour (such as eating habits, an increase in smoking or drinking, mood swings or changes in attendance such as arriving later or taking more time off)

Do courses expire?
There is no expiry date on course credits. Once a credit has been bought it can be allocated at any time. However, should the credit have been allocated to the delegate, each learner then has 12 months to complete the course.
In other words, unallocated course credits have no expiry date. If for example you ordered 1000 licences, and allocated 600 courses in year 1, you would have 400 licences left to allocate in year 2.
